TRULY-LOCAL, LLC, assists the local news-media company in their communities to once again be that relevant voice to the outside world.  The local news-media company must serve as the town square of information. TRULY-LOCAL, LLC, is dedicated to working with news-media companies and the communities they serve in a unique and revenue producing way. We assist the news-media company in building the synergies that not only grow their revenue base through new verticals, but helps them to build a long lasting foundation with the community that benefits both. Our mission is simple, it is to “save local journalism and the communities they serve, one town or community at a time”.

 

TRULY-LOCAL, LLC, views the current news-media revenue model as a three-legged stool.  In 2021, this approach becomes more critical than ever before and we believe our business model is the ONLY viable path forward for local or community news-media companies to follow. The first leg of the three-legged stool consists of the traditional side of the business. While older and traditional, it still provides the largest revenue stream for most local news-media companies. The longer we stretch this traditional leg of revenue, the more time we buy some time for our  transition into the future.  The second leg of this stool consists of all those digital or online assets, which are a growing portion of the revenue model, but not quite ready for the main stage so to speak. Stools don’t balance well on two legs, regardless of the balancing act one employs, they eventually collapse under the stress and strain of poor balance.  That is how we view the news-media model our today.

 

TRULY-LOCAL, LLC, is all about creating and building the third or even fourth leg which solidifies and balances the stool. We have found many alternative and new revenue streams that not only make sense, but provide synergies with the first two legs creating a healthy and sustainable balance. The best part however is the model builds relationships throughout the community that most newspapers don't realize even exist. We help them build those synergies that benefit the news-media company, the community, the businesses in the community and the residents along the way.

 

TRULY-LOCAL, LLC, while saving journalism is critical, it is undeniable that can't happen unless we make weak communities stronger as well. Weak communities cannot and will not be able to support journalism as we know it.  Journalism can help save themselves by improving the quality of life and vibrancy in their communities. In fact, we believe local news-media companies are the only local business positioned to assist their community in the most important aspect of growing their community. We have developed a tailored-to-fit strategy that can be adopted by ANY local news-media company that sets them on the path to revenue growth, strategic alliances within the community and places them once again as the informational community town square. The best part, it isn’t adding new resources and cost, it is simply adopted a slightly adjusted mindset that helps align the news-media company with their community in so many ways.
